Even if the SHTF event never happens, you need to be able to be self sufficient. I will promote ideas to help people become that.
If the left is not actively attacking you, or your platform, you are not doing something right. Wear the attacks like a conservative badge of honor.
I am sorry folks, but we are at war right now. I have to say this, whether it pisses people off or not. If you are a retired Army, Navy, Marine, Airforce, or Coast Guard vet, or a single man, and are not at our southern border to meet the Illegal aliens that are coming, saying that there is nothing we can do to stop them, you are a coward. Yes, I said it. If I were not the father of a preteen boy, and sole earner for our family, I would be there right now. I am sure that the border patrol would be able to find you something to do, depending on experience. For those that cannot go, you could help by sending food, smokes, drinks, etc, to support those that do go. The Feds can't(won't) do anything, so it is incumbent on us, the real government(we the people) to get it done.
If every action you take in the world is in some way an action against the forwarding advance of evil, you are doing it right.
